September was a productive month: Event Temple integration and the possibility for Delphi users to adjust package pricing within MeetingPackage. And then some.
Summary
Ah, the famous TL;DR (Too Long; Didn't Read, also known as a summary). Here you go:
- Event Temple integration. Another month, another integration update.
- Delphi package pricing within MeetingPackage. This lets suppliers benefit from our seasonal pricing and discount rates.
- Plenty of more minor improvements and bug fixes.
Let's jump into the details 🚀
Event temple integration
The long-awaited integration to Event Temple is finally fresh out of the oven. This integration allows suppliers using Event Temple to fully benefit from our product. The integration includes real-time availability for rooms and packages, as well as instant bookings and booking requests.
To demonstrate how the integration works, we recorded two helpful demo videos for instant booking and booking enquiry flows – enjoy!
Instant booking
In this video, we'll show you how the Event Temple integration works with instant bookings, also known as definite bookings. The video will demonstrate how the data flows and what kind of emails are sent to the customer and the supplier.
Booking request
In a similar fashion to the instant booking demo video, this video will demonstrate how the Event Temple integration works with booking requests, also known as enquiries.
Delphi package pricing within MeetingPackage
Amadeus Delphi users can now price their packages within MeetingPackage and benefit from our seasonal pricing and discount rates. Funny fact: We actually published this already in August but forgot to feature it in our update. You won't tell anyone, right?
Smaller improvements and bug fixes
We've gradually put in an increasing amount of effort to improve the quality of our product. Typically, this includes fixing bugs and making more minor improvements to our service. Here are some highlights for September:
- Improved logging on our frontend. Who wouldn't like to know the exact, nitty-gritty details if some minor, browser-specific edge case errors surface?
- In our navigation, clicking on a top-level link now opens a sub-menu instead of going to a separate page showing the same links. I can also share a secret: We're entertaining the idea of redesigning the top and sidebar altogether at some point. Maybe we'll share a sneak peek later. We'll see.
- We've updated several bits and pieces on the background to ensure a smoother transition to a new tech stack.
- We moved to another deployment automation tool, which has led to better stability and increased speed in our deployments.
That's it for this month. See you again in the next update! In the meantime, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot us a message.
