How to handle all the different types of Meetings & Events requests venue can have.

This document walks through different booking types and booking handling.
Booking Types
There are 3 different booking types:
- Instant booking
- Enquiry with price
- Enquiry without price
Instant booking
- Meeting room has been flagged as Instant Bookable
- Meeting room has a price
Enquiry with price
- Meeting room has not been flagged as Instant Bookable
- Meeting room has a price
Enquiry without price
- Meeting room has not been flagged as Instant Bookable
- Meeting room has no price given
Instant Booking setting
With instant booking setting the venue can additionally restrict when Instant booking is available.
Venue can set a maximum lead time in days after which the roomis available only as Enquiry.
Additionally, venue can define a maximum number of delegates for instant booking. Above the given value rooms are available only as Enquiry.
Booking statuses
Enquiry with or without price will have a starting status ‘1.Supplier should confirm’.
If venue is able to confirm the Enquiry then they need to change the status to ‘2.Customer should confirm’
If booker accepts the offer then they will confirm the booking.
Instant booking will get directly the status ‘3. Confirmed order’.
Notifications via email
Once venue changes the booking an email is triggered to the booker notifying about the changes.
Once booker is adding notes to the booking an email is triggered to the venue.
