Global Parameters allow you to set up business rules that suit your business segment and sales orgianisation. Below are all the configurable parameters and their meanings. Your colleagues, can you use the global parameters defined here to manage sales better? These global parameters are visible for users on the orders accessible from My inbox in the main menu.
All the global parameters are optional to be used.

Bedroom Category
Here you can set your bedroom types such as the example image below.
Booking type
Here, you can define your booking types such as offline (email, phone, walk-in), direct online (webform, booking engine), indirect online (GDS, OTA, TMC), etc., depending on your most popular sales channels. The abbreviations can be used to map your booking types with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage. Cancelled reason
Define your cancellation reason. What are the most common reasons from your customers when they cancel the booking? Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
💡 Leave one option for Other to map out missing cancellation reasons. If you have a high number of "Other" reasons, you might need to add new ones or amend existing cancellation reasons.
Competitor
Define your competitor set. Add the most common competitors in your market with whom you compete on a regular basis. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Event type
Define your event types that suit your business. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Housing method
Define your housing methods for group bookings. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Industry
Define the most common industries your customers represent. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Lead source
Define your lead sources from where the potential business and incoming RFPs most commonly come. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Lost reason
Define your most common lost reasons to gain valuable data on why customers are turning down the requests. Depending on the integrations you are using with MeetingPackage, the abbreviations can be used to map your data with external systems such as Sales & Catering, PMS, CRM, and so on, or for other data management and reporting purposes.
Market segment

Preferred contact method
Define the preferred contact method that your customer has requested. Sales team
