A new pricing page, integration improvements, significant performance improvements, groundwork for new features and plenty of fixes. That's what March was about.
Summary
For the hasty, here are the updates for this month in a nutshell:
- We have a new pricing page.
- With our improved integration with MEWS, suppliers can now trigger invoice generation from MeetingPackage.
- Opera-powered venues can now validate the invoice payment method with an AR number.
- Thanks to our speed optimisations, venue and search pages load 34 % faster on average.
Let's dive into the details! 🚀
New pricing page
It's one thing to get your product pricing right and another to present it in a tempting way. With our new pricing page, we think we nailed both! As a property owner, you can now immediately see what price applies to your amount and size of properties. Go check out the pricing and play around with the toggles to your heart's content!
Integration improvements
As you might be aware, integrations are at the core of our product. Typically our customers use different systems for different needs, and more often than not, our system is the glue between these systems. That's why we aim to improve our integrations to work even more seamlessly with all the relevant systems.
Let's start with MEWS: our improved integration allows suppliers to trigger invoice generation from MeetingPackage. We hope this improvement removes friction from your invoicing process.
Secondly, Opera-powered venues can now validate the invoice payment method with an AR number. This update helps automating invoicing.
Venue and search page speed boost
In addition to new features and updates, it's necessary to keep improving our existing functionality. This time we targeted our search and venue pages, and through thorough optimisation, we managed to improve the page execution time by 34 % on average! For the more technical readers, we can tell that the improvement came from changing our JavaScript bundler and optimising it with proper tree shaking.
Upcoming features
As mentioned in the February product update, we're working hard on the group booking feature, which is currently in development and progressing steadily. We can't wait to share more about that later this spring!
We also have some thrilling new features planned, so stay tuned for upcoming sneak peeks.
Bug fixes
Here's your good ol' monthly dose of bugs we've fixed:
- Expired one-time login links now show a proper error message instead of a somewhat non-informative blank screen.
- In some rare instances, trying to delete a user wouldn't work for some users. We figured out the problem, and the functionality works as it should.
- Using other than a UTF-8 encoded file for account import resulted in an error. We still require the format to be UTF-8, but we now identify the format mismatch and inform you to format your file properly.
- Sometimes importing accounts resulted in duplicate accounts. We identified the cases where this happened and fixed the functionality to work properly.
- Sometimes, when trying to edit external S&C packages on the instant settings page, the page would break. That's fairly inconvenient, so we fixed the underlying issue.
- On the instant settings page, the table expand button is now actionable also with a keyboard.
- Table headers were centred, whereas they should've been aligned to start (in our case, left). For the technically curious, for better accessibility, our table headers are button elements, which are centred by default. To fix the alignment issue, we added an option to choose the alignment when using the button component.
That's it for March, see you in the next update! In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions – we're here to help.
