December 2022 Product Update

The last month of the year was a great opportunity to do some housecleaning and prepare for new updates coming in 2023.

Before diving into the December update, let's take a step back to see what we accomplished in 2022.

On our user interface, we started to update the look and feel of our product in the Spring. We improved several existing views, such as our navigation and venue editing flow, but also new ones: auto cancellation, channel manager and instant booking settings. In addition, we're going through a rebranding, the results of which you'll see in early 2023.

On the technical side, we built new integrations and improved existing ones while creating a new foundation for our service.

On the business side, we've managed to triple our SaaS growth while keeping our churn so low that it's easy to feel proud 🤩 Here's a highlight of our progress:

Summary

December was about integration improvements and redesigning existing views, with a regular dose of bug fixes and more minor enhancements. Let's get into it!

Upcoming My venues page redesign

My venues page redesign

As part of our redesign efforts, we built the good ol' My venues page from the ground up with our new design library. In addition to the new shiny look, we offer new functionality, such as instant search and sorting. The feature is currently in internal testing, but you can expect it to go live in early 2023.

Improvements

Here are some of the improvements we've implemented this month:

  • Last month we released a redesigned instant booking settings. After the launch, we've been working on making it easier to see the values for all rooms in one go.
  • Opera users can enjoy better analytics as we now identify different booking sources in the S&C system.
  • We added discount code support for Thynk integration.

Bug fixes

As per usual, we've fixed several minor inconveniences on our platform. Here are the highlights:

  • In some rare cases, it wasn't possible to add catalogue items. We fixed the issue.
  • For Opera venue packages, the maximum number of delegates allowed for the specific package was not calculated correctly. We found the root cause and fixed it.
  • We fixed an edge case issue with dates when confirming a multi-day booking with changes to line items.
